Description
What is the Sustanon?
Sustanon is a combination of several testosterone esters, designed to provide a sustained release of the hormone in the body. It is a blend of four testosterone esters with varying absorption rates, allowing for both rapid and prolonged action. It was originally developed to treat male hypogonadism, a condition in which the body does not produce enough testosterone. This product, Sustanon, is often prescribed to treat hormonal deficiencies in men and is also used in bodybuilding and strength training for its effects on muscle growth and performance.
Composition and function of Sustanon
The steroid Sustanon contains four different testosterone esters:
-
Testosterone propionate (rapid esterification) – It is rapidly released into the body, providing an immediate rise in testosterone levels.
-
Testosterone phenylpropionate (intermediate esterification) – Its release is slightly slower than that of propionate.
-
Testosterone isocaproate (slower esterification) – It releases testosterone at an even more gradual rate.
-
Testosterone decanoate (slow esterification) – This is the slowest ester to release testosterone into the body, providing a prolonged duration of action.
This combination of esters allows for a gradual and sustained release of testosterone, meaning that Sustanon does not require frequent injections. Injections are typically spaced 7 to 10 days apart, which is convenient compared to other forms of testosterone that require more frequent injections.
